Mercedes are playing the anticipation game with EV fans this week, dropping cryptic teasers on their social channels ahead of the Frankfurt International Autoshow starting next week. Is this the S Class equivalent of the EQC? Judge for yourself.
The Mercedes EQC electric SUV is all set to launch later this year, and already we’re seeing how the EQ range is set to grow.
Merc fans were excited to see a series of images appearing across their social media yesterday as the German automaker dropped news of their soon-to-be-revealed EV.

A sheet cover isn’t enough to disguise what this is, and Mercedes knows it. Whether it’s called the EQS or not, the model definitely looks like an electric successor to the range-topping S Class sedan range.
The interior certainly looks luxurious enough. The futuristic aesthetic Mercedes has been showing off on Twitter is unlikely to make it to market, but it’s got the attention-grabbing quality that they might need to stand out in an increasingly competitive EV field.

It’s likely we’ll be seeing a concept when the Frankfurt IAA motorshow kicks off on September 12th. With any luck, it’ll be accompanied by some news about release dates and features for Australian customers.
