In a great example of how the Tesla Model S will improve over time, some on the TMC community have pointed out that the instrument panel on newer Model S now have a higher resolution.
This particular user had a loaner car with a VIN in the 44xxx range while their older car has a VIN in the 15xxx range.
Some users with older cars reported that since the last firmware update their instrument cluster has also seemed sharper. Others have speculated that Tesla swapped out the screen when they chose the thinner bezel for the instrument cluster.
Maybe a combination of both?
